Another slice of Green Apple success

Amey has announced today that their Utilities Business has won bronze at the international Green Apple Awards. The awards held at The Houses of Parliament on Monday 12th November 2018 form part of The Green Organisations campaign to find the greenest companies, councils and communities.

This builds upon the success of the Green Apple Environmental Best Practice silver award received earlier this year for the Tealing Substation flood prevention project near Dundee, Scotland. Amey competed against more than 500 other nominations for the Environmental Best Practice category.

For over 20 years’ The Green Apple Awards have recognised, rewarded and promoted environmental best practice around the world - supported by the Environment Agency, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and the Chartered Institution for Wastes Management among other independent bodies.

David Tong, Amey Business Director for Power and Telecoms, said: “This award recognises and reinforces our commitment to being environmentally conscious and responsible throughout every one of our projects. I am delighted for our teams receiving the bronze award who work hard every day to deliver for our clients, customers and the local communities.”
