Amey brings festive cheer to children across the North West
As we approach the festive period, Amey is working with local radio stations to support Mission Christmas – Cash for Kids and make Christmas day magical for children across the North West. Sadly, 1 in 3 children will be living in poverty this Christmas, that’s four million children at risk of waking up to no presents at all on Christmas day. Amey, Area 10 contract, located in the North West has decided to be Secret Santa this year to make sure every child wakes up with a gift on Christmas morning.
Account Director for the Amey, Area 10 contract, Lucy Fell, said: “It’s heart-breaking to think that some children won’t wake up with a gift on Christmas morning and the past few years have been extremely hard for many.
“We wanted to support Mission Christmas, by donating gifts and money, as well as helping out at the Mission Christmas HQ, wrapping presents for the children across the North West. It is a fantastic cause, and it has been so nice to see so many kind-hearted staff wanting to get involved.
“We want to make sure that all children in our local communities receive a gift this Christmas and help put a smile on their face, helping to take the pressure off parents who may be struggling.”
Regional Charity Manager for Cash for Kids, Michelle Williamson, said: “I want to thank Amey for getting involved in Mission Christmas this year. People in our community have always been so amazingly generous when it comes to Mission Christmas and we are so thankful for their support. We want to make sure that even more young people can be given some Christmas cheer this year.”

Cash for Kids works with thousands of grass-root organisations across the UK who support disadvantaged children (0 – 18 years). Throughout the Mission Christmas campaign, these organisations along with social workers, head teachers and the emergency services nominate families in crisis to be supported by the appeal. Highlighting their age, gender and any special needs, Cash for Kids identifies children that the Mission is hoping to support and what age groups may be struggling for gifts throughout the appeal.
