A winning night for Amey's Scotland Team at National Transport Awards
It was a winning night for engineering and support services company, Amey, as their Scotland team scooped the title of both Travel Information and Marketing and Most Innovative Transport System at this year’s National Transport Awards.
The first award for Travel Information and Marketing was collected in partnership with Transport Scotland for their collaborative approach to communicating with the travelling public and businesses during the closure of the Forth Road Bridge – an event that the Scottish Parliament described as ‘an event of national significance’.
Partnership was also key to collecting the second award of the night as the team were recognised alongside Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland, Edinburgh Napier University and Clearview Intelligence Ltd for their input into the A720 Sheriffhall Roundabout project – a scheme to improve driver safety on a high traffic six-arm roundabout on the Edinburgh City Bypass.
Andy Milner, Amey’s CEO said:
“The National Transport Awards is one of the most prestigious events in our sector and recognises the best in the industry. The calibre of people and projects represented at the awards is exceptional.
This is a terrific result for our team in Scotland and I am pleased to see them being recognised once again for the tremendous work they do to help keep the country moving.”
In addition to the two wins, Amey’s Kamel Menous was commended for the Frontline Employee of the Year Award.
