Amey shortlisted for two New Civil Engineer Awards
Leading UK Public Services provider Amey is delighted to have been nominated for two prestigious New Civil Engineer (NCE) awards. The inaugural NCE 100 awards, which will be announced in May, recognise firms that are leading the way in five areas that are critical to delivering for customers and making engineering workplaces a great place to be.
Amey is nominated in the two ‘Pillar 5’ categories, for companies taking a ‘World View’. Its work in Qatar with the Public Works Authority, Ashghal, has gained it an ‘International Impact’ award nomination, with another one in the ‘Global Firm of the Year’ category for its Global Centre of Excellence for Asset Management.
Andy Milner, newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Amey, said: “This is a great achievement for our business that recognises how we can work with customers both home and abroad to help them deliver better places to live, work and travel.”
In 2012 Amey began working with Ashghal in a key advisory and design role for the operation and maintenance of the country’s roads. With Amey’s help Ashghal is able to make informed, long-term decisions about building, managing and maintaining their highway network.
Through Amey’s Global Centre of Excellence, it helps some of the world’s biggest asset owners to better understand their infrastructure – roads, railways, airports and much more - so that they can make really smart decisions about how they get the best out of them, for the best value for money. As well as here in the UK, Amey have helped major customers in the Middle East, Australia and the USA.
During the awards, NCE will also count down their top 100 firms and announce their ‘Company of the Year’.
