Amey launches cloud-based data system, Mercury
Leading engineering and asset management consultancy, Amey is launching Mercury – their new cloud-based data analytics system – at this year’s Institute of Asset Management Annual Conference in Edinburgh (20 – 22 June).
Mercury gathers, evaluates and interprets asset data from multiple sources to create predictive, intelligent analytics and presents them via intuitive and powerful visualisations.
The system is designed to improve asset performance, reduce the cost of maintenance and help asset managers make informed decisions for the future. Mercury has already been deployed on a number of Amey’s high profile infrastructure projects, including London Underground, where it has already been used to identify significant savings in escalator running costs.
Stephen Gooberman-Hill, Principal Consultant from Amey’s consulting business said:
“Assets are getting more sophisticated and often data is ignored because there is too much of it, it is too low level or no-one understands it. Our aim is to make better places for people to live, work and travel so we developed Mercury to overcome these challenges and help our clients make the right decisions, at the right time, for their infrastructure.”
The benefits of Mercury include continuous monitoring to eliminate unnecessary site visits, intuitive diagnostics which predict asset behaviour and matches event and condition logs with maintenance logs.
