Network Rail Electrification and Plant Framework

Amey secures position on Network Rail Electrification and Plant Framework

Amey has secured a place on Network Rail’s Central Region Infrastructure Projects Electrification and Plant Framework.  The win will see Amey designing and building electrical and plant works for a minimum of five years, in a contract worth around £36m.

The framework covers Network Rail’s LNW South region which stretches from London to Stoke on Trent and forms part of a wider set of framework agreements worth £1.6bn in total.  Amey, a leader in engineering design and operational delivery solutions in the rail market, will also deliver a mixture of signalling power and overhead line electrifications works as part of the framework.

Mel Ewell, Amey’s chief executive, said: “Network Rail is a key client for Amey, and through this framework we are able to further support their aims to drive value and enhance collaboration across their supply chain. It provides an excellent vehicle for sharing of best practice to support improvements to Britain’s rail network.”

Our involvement at the early GRIP stages together with a greater emphasis on whole life costing will also enable us to propose and develop safe cost efficient solutions.

Amey’s experienced electrification and plant (E&P) team has successfully delivered a number of previous E&P schemes in the region including at North and South Erewash, and at Water Orton.  The company’s involvement at the early GRIP stages together with a greater emphasis on whole life costing enables Amey to propose and develop safe cost efficient solutions.
