Amey secures Camden’s Total Facilities Management Contract through the Tri-borough Framework Agreement
Amey, one of the UK’s leading public service providers, has been awarded a £10 million contract to provide Total Facilities Management (TFM) services to Camden Council.
The five year contract, which begins in January 2015, will see Amey delivering cleaning services as well as mechanical and electrical maintenance to over 130 properties across the Council’s corporate estate.
The TFM contract has been secured through the Tri-borough Framework Agreement, providing the opportunity for London boroughs to access facilities management services through an efficient, innovative and cost-effective model. The contract was awarded following a rigorous process to ensure value for money with substantial savings being made in procurement costs and the overall contract value.
The transformative Tri-borough contract began in October 2013 and sees Amey delivering TFM services to over 2,000 sites across Westminster City Council, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
The current Tri-borough framework will act as a central body, enabling other councils to benefit from contractual and procurement savings achieved through the project agreement.
Speaking about the contract award, Mel Ewell, Chief Executive of Amey said: “Securing this contract with Camden Council is testament to this innovative Total Facilities Management framework.
“The approach benefits from economies of scale allowing us to deliver more efficient and cost-effective services to Camden Council and we look forward to expanding our commitments into this borough.”
