Amey secures extension to Home Office contract

Amey, one of the UK’s leading public service providers, has been awarded a two-year contract extension to the Total Facilities Management service it provides to the Home Office and Ministry of Justice across London, the south and east of England.

The base contract is worth over £24m per annum and sees Amey deliver facilities management services such as building maintenance, cleaning, catering, grounds maintenance, security and energy management to around 355 sites.

Amey has been delivering services to the Home Office since 2008 and the company was awarded Home Office Supplier of the year in 2011. Ministry of Justice (MOJ) properties also form part of the contract. This extension will take Amey’s relationship with both customers into 2015.

Speaking about the extension, Dominic Wigley, Director of Social Justice at Amey said: “Since taking over the facilities management service at the Home Office, we have delivered significant efficiency and energy savings to our clients, strong operational performance and increased customer satisfaction.

“We are delighted to extend our relationship with the Home Office and MOJ by an additional two years, allowing us to deliver further benefits to our customers.”
