Amey announces the appointment of Wayne Robertson as Head of Legal

Amey, one of the UK’s leading support services partners, has appointed Wayne Robertson as Head of Legal, effective immediately. Wayne will report directly to Mel Ewell, Chief Executive, Amey.

Wayne will manage a team of twenty lawyers, company secretaries and Contract Services staff handling a broad range of transactional projects and corporate and commercial matters for the Group. He will also act as Company Secretary for Amey UK plc. Instrumental to the role will be the development of Amey’s award-winning in-house legal department - the team was named in the Top Ten In-House Legal Teams by Legal Week 2008.

Wayne qualified as a corporate lawyer at DJ Freeman in 1996 and joined Amey as Senior Counsel, Business Services in 2006. He has over ten years’ in-house legal experience, and prior to joining Amey, held legal positions at Accenture, British Telecommunications plc and The BOC Group plc.
