Amey wins £250 million Northamptonshire schools PFI contract

Amey has been awarded a £250 million contract by Northamptonshire Council to supply total facilities management and life-cycle solutions for 41 primary and secondary schools across the region. Eleven schools will be new build with the remaining thirty schools refurbished or remodelled.

The largest grouped schools PFI of its kind In England, the overall contract is worth £1 billion to the Babcock & Brown led consortium of Amey, Babcock & Brown and Galliford Try. The contract which started on the 31st of December 2005, will run for 32 years and includes £200 million capital expenditure and £116 million PFI credits.
