Amey Highways wins Local Government Chronicle Award

Amey Highways partnership, Hertfordshire Highways, has won the prestigious Local Government Chronicle (LGC) Innovation of the Year Award 2003, which recognises excellence and innovation in local government.

At the awards ceremony in London, Leader of Hertfordshire County Council, Robert Ellis, praised the partnership and highlighted how innovative it is:

“Hertfordshire Highways was set up to bring better value for money as well as improving the overall highways service.  The radical rethink of every aspect of the service, recreating it as a new purpose built organisation, has meant that we are beginning to see clear improvements”.
