Craig McGilvray
MD Complex Facilities
Craig joined Amey in 2020 as Managing Director of Secure Infrastructure (now Complex Facilities) and is a member of the executive committee.
He is a collaborative leader, who has a wealth of experience in financial and commercial management, mergers and acquisitions and change management within the facilities management and utilities sectors.
Craig is responsible for facilities management, asset management, engineering and project services, defence contracts, and the portfolio of justice and public estates. Under his strategic direction, Amey’s Complex Facilities services have already delivered some impressive transformation programmes, business performance and growth.
Prior to his appointment at Amey, Craig was a managing director at Balfour Beatty and Alfred McAlpine. Between 2004 and 2019, he also held two chief executive officer and finance director positions. These culminated in several successful, high-profile joint ventures, which brought about positive growth and reduced risk.
Craig holds a degree in French Studies from The University of Manchester; an accounting diploma from The University of Strathclyde; and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).
